"body": "## Context\n\nRaised in #nixmac on 2026-05-28 by Farhan:\n\n> \"Is there a reason there's no 'discard' action option on this view?\"\n\nThe evolution diff/review view currently offers Apply and potentially other actions, but no explicit \"Discard\" option that abandons the proposed changes and returns to a clean state.\n\n## Desired Outcome\n\nUsers should be able to explicitly discard a proposed evolution result without having to apply it first and then roll back.\n\n## Acceptance Criteria / Gherkin Specs\n\n```gherkin\nScenario: User discards an evolution result from the review view\n Given an evolution has completed and the diff review view is showing proposed changes\n When the user clicks the \"Discard\" button\n Then the app shows a confirmation prompt: \"Discard these changes? Your Nix config will not be modified.\"\n And on confirmation the proposed changes are discarded\n And the app returns to the initial state (prompt input ready for a new evolution)\n And no changes are made to the user's Nix config\n\nScenario: Discard confirmation can be cancelled\n Given the user has clicked \"Discard\" and the confirmation prompt is showing\n When the user clicks \"Cancel\" on the confirmation\n Then the prompt is dismissed\n And the diff review view is still visible with the original proposed changes intact\n\nScenario: Discard is always available on the review view\n Given an evolution has completed successfully and diff is shown\n Then a \"Discard\" action button is visible alongside \"Apply\"\n And it is never hidden or disabled while the diff is displayed\n```",
